Regina Marie (Goik) WoodillSeptember 1,1961 August 22, 2015Regina passed away suddenly, but peacefully, at her home in Zephyrhills, FL on August 22, 2015 at theage of 53.A long time resident of Eastpointe, MI, she attended St. Veronicas elementary school and graduated fromEast Detroit High School in 1979. While attending high school, Regina enjoyed participating in dramaclub and the schools radio station. This started a lifetime love for the music of Elton John, Billy Joel, andBobby Vinton.Her brother, John, and brotherinlaw,John Zakens, introduced her to baseball and the Detroit Tigers.They started her lifetime love affair with all things Tigers, especially watching Al Kaline playing andlistening to Ernie Harwell announcing the games, and the mystique of the Tigers Stadium.Regina was a devout Catholic and an active parishioner of St. Veronicas Parish, where she enjoyedvolunteering to clean the church, and helping at the food pantry and the fish fry. Regina was always therewith a helping hand for those in need. Loved for her generosity of time and resources, she was such anincredibly caring person that she would give you her last dollar and the shirt off her back.Reginas favorite job was working for Corning Glass where she did quality audits. She made manyfriendships that she still maintains to this day.Regina loved spending time with her daughter, Chelsey, her angel. She was always there to volunteer atany of Chelseys school events, like chorus or Girl Scouts. Chelsey was truly the love of her life and shewill be watching over her forever.Among her many hobbies, Regina enjoyed spending time with her family, reading the novels of BradMeltzer and Debbie Macomber, doing arts and crafts with her motherinlaw,Lynda, going to the beach,sewing, baking, and loving on her fourleggedfur balls Bucky, Becky, Dazy, Nikita, and Buddy (sheloved her babies).Regina was predeceased by her:Father and Mother, Raymond and Rita Goik: Brother, John Goik:Brother In Law, John Zakens: Niece, Noel Zakens.Regina is survived by her:Beloved Husband, Ronald Woodill; Beloved Daughter, Chelsey Tyre; Sister, Michaelene, Sister, BarbaraZakens; Brother In Law, Austin (Suzanne) Woodill; Father and Mother In Law, Len and Lynda Woodill;Niece, Michelle Byrd; Great Niece and God Daughter, Alexandra Byrd: and other nieces and nephews.Services will be held in October at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zephyrhills, Florida.
