Obituary

SANCHEZ, Regina Tamaran, age 58, of Zephyrhills, FL passed away at her home on March 15, 2020. She was born in Decatur, GA on February 22, 1962 to Winston William Lee Moore & Annabelle Moore-Newman.

Regina spent her childhood years growing up in several different states as her father built roads and his career required a lot of relocation. Living in so many places strengthened the bond Regina had with her sister Ramona. They grew up very close and Regina always cherished their special bond. Regina was truly a loving, caring person. This personality trait really showed in her love of animals. Her family always had pets throughout her childhood, so Regina's love for animals began at a very young age. That passion continued to grow as she got older. She was especially a dog lover, dedicating much of her spare time to animal rescue and creating awareness of shelter animals in need of a forever home.

Regina was also an extremely creative and talented ceramic artist. She spent many years running all aspects of her own ceramic business, doing everything from pouring the molds to painting fine pieces that will forever be treasured by her loved ones, friends, and customers.

In her spare time, Regina loved reading. She read many books just like her mother did when she was still with us. When she was up to something more adventurous, she loved to dine out and try new cuisines. She also enjoyed traveling from a young age when her family would take yearly trips to West Virginia, to later in life when she would visit friends or family members who lived in other places. After her son Paul moved out of state in 2008, she always looked forward to the next trip to visit him and his partner Jay, and to explore the world together with them.

Regina was a woman of faith. She enjoyed going to church and valued her relationship with God. She believed in the power of prayer and always considered her blessings a byproduct of her devotion. She was ever thankful for all that she had been given.

Regina was preceded in death by her daughter, Gina Marie Rubner; mother, Annabelle Moore-Newman; and father, Winston William Lee Moore.

Loving survivors include: one son, Paul Rubner Jr. and his partner Jay; one sister, Ramona Moore; three nieces: Heather Nunn, Brandi Sanchez, and Shawna Makinster; one nephew, Earl Fadling Jr.; several great-nephews and great-nieces; many close friends; and her dogs Annabelle, Danny, and Sasha.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on March 26, 2020 at Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 Chapel in Dade City, FL. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens.
