IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rebecca N. "Becky"
Jordan
October 11, 1935 – April 30, 2022
Rebecca N. "Becky" Jordan, 86, passed peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 30, 2022. Becky was born October 11, 1935, in Greensboro, NC to Mary Corine and John Alton Nolan. She was a 1952 graduate of Marietta High School and attended West Georgia College. After living in Germany for several years, she moved to Richmond, Virginia and worked for Billy Wiltshire, Sr. as an executive secretary and jack-of-all-trades in the insurance industry. Becky began playing golf at the age of 6, mastering the game and winning numerous titles across the South. She was also a world-traveler, an accomplished pianist, excellent Southern cook, hilarious storyteller, avid birdwatcher, and lover of dogs, especially her beloved pup, Boogersnert. Becky never met a stranger and loved to entertain her friends with cocktails and card games. She moved to Milton, IN with her first husband and remained there until her retirement, at which time she moved to Ridge Manor, Florida. It was there she met and married the love of her life, Bobby Jordan. They shared almost seven beautiful years together enjoying the many hobbies they had in common and spending time with their family and friends. When Becky was no longer able to play golf, she loved to sit by the window and wave to her friends on the fairway behind her home.
Becky is preceded in death by her husband Bobby and is survived by her children, Kelly Bunch, Robert Jordan, and Jennifer Beck, seven grandchildren, Allyson, Kinsey, Alexander, Jake, Evan, Wesley, and Logan, one great-grandchild, Lucy, as well as many beloved friends.
The family wishes to thank Beckys devoted caregivers, Nancy, Kelly, and most especially Yesenia, for their loving care and companionship during Beckys illness. Additional thanks to Hernando/Pasco Hospice and Beckys wonderful nurses, Donovan, Angie, and Emily.
A Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday, May 7th, 2022, from 10am - 11am at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. Becky and Bobby will be interred together at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hernando/Pasco Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.
