Rebecca Nanna Harper, 79 of Ridge Manor, FL passed away Monday, November 10, 2014 in Dade City under the care of HPH Hospice. She was born December 4, 1934 in Chester, SC to Clarence & Sara Brown Bates and was a longtime area resident. She retired from TECO after 20 years of service and served as a director Emeritus for the Dade City Chamber of Commerce. She was the CBE (Cooperative Business Education) program contact for TECO at Pasco Comprehensive High School and former President of the NMA (National Management Association). She is survived by her children: Pat Thompson (P.C. Bubba), Joe K. Harper, Lynn Burke (George); their Dad: Kenneth Harper; siblings: Charles H. Bates (Sara), William G. Bates Jr. (Jane), Betty Jo Addison, Miriam B. McGee (John); 3 grandchildren: Josh Sheldon (Amber), Joey Harper (Britni), Sarah Harper; 3 great grandchildren: Aiden Sheldon, Zoei Harper, Triston Mannelli; and other close family and friends including: Shelley Sanders Harper and Carl Sheldon. A Celebration of Nannas Life will be held 2pm Friday at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm till service time at the funeral home. Flowers will be gratefully accepted or those that wish may make donations in her memory to HPH Hospice.
