Raymond L. Goucher, Jr., 84 of Zephyrhills, FL passed away after a long illness on Thursday, July 15, 2021.

He was born in Gary, Indiana on February 18, 1937 to Raymond L. Goucher, Sr. and Adele Goucher. Raymond retired from the United States Air Force in 1974 after proudly serving his country for 20 years.

He and his wife Peggy moved to the Betmar community in Zephyrhills in 2007 where he joined other family members and made friends that he treasured as family. He also served as an usher at St. Josephs Catholic church.

Raymond is survived by his spouse Peggy J. Goucher, daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Bill Shope; 3 sisters and brother in laws: Sonja and James Pinkston, Eileen and Robert Fields and Elizabeth and Lynwood Johnson, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by his mother, daughter Marsha Rae Williams, brothers Ronald and Steven Goucher and his sister Dolores Hodges.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Josephs Catholic church at 11:00 am on July 29, 2021. Raymond will be laid to rest at Florida National cemetery on the same date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Heart Association.
