Raymond A. Cartier, known as Ray, passed away peacefully at home on April 11, 2022. He was born on August 25, 1928, in Mount Vernon, New York, and grew up happily with his sister, Audrey, and brother, Terry. He graduated from Springfield College, and began a career in the insurance industry. He resided in Westchester County, New York until moving to Florida in 1982.

He and his wife, Rosemary, have enjoyed sunny Florida and a wonderful life together filled with many adventures and wonderful friends. Ray and Rosemary were inseparable. They were managers of a Public Storage facility together for 18 years in Tampa, Florida, and always loved sharing many funny stories with friends.

Ray had a wonderful way of brightening everyones day with a smile or a joke. Much to the chagrin of his daughters, Sue and Laurie, and his grandchildren, Sarah, Katie, Dylan, and Morgan, he would spread his love of life and have a conversation with anyone. When asked why he talked to everyone his response was "a little smile, joke, or kind word goes a long way to make other peoples day." In his love for life, he was an adventurous bike rider who toured the country, and enjoyed listening to music and making various music CDs.

His church played a very big role in his life. From altar boy, to helping to care for his church in his golden years, Ray lead his life in a Christian way. Its been said that a sign of a good life is that one makes an impact on others lives and Ray sure made an impact on everyone he met. In fact, hes probably telling his jokes in heaven right now.
