Zarate, Ramona, 72, of Dade City, FL, passed away on January 6, 2014 in Dade City, FL. She was a native of Tamazula, Jalisco, Mexico, but lived in Dade City since 1974. She was a devoted mother and grandmother; and was active at St. Rita Catholic Church, as well as the community. She is survived by 7 children; Angel Contreras, Rosa Maria Gomez, Francisca Ponce, Maria De Jesus Rosales, of Dade City, Analicia C. Perez, of Blacksheer, GA, Magdaleno Contreras, Jr., Alberto Contreras, of Dade City, FL; 2 sisters, Virginia Lazaro, Maria de Los Angeles Zarate, of Dade City, FL; 25 gradnchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 6-8pm at Hodges Family Funeral Home, Hwy 301. Funeral Mass will be Friday, January 10, 2014, 11am, at St. Rita Catholic Church.
