In Loving Memory of Priscilla Allen

July 27, 1937 – January 21, 2025

With deep sadness and heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved mother, Nanny, great-Nanny, great-great-Nanny, sister, and aunt Priscilla Allen, who entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 21, 2025.

Priscilla was born on July 27, 1937, in Topsfield, Maine, to Thomas Phillip Allen (known as Phil) and Vera Lois (Hodsdon) Allen. She resided in Connecticut for many years, where she lovingly raised her eight children, before retiring to Dade City, Florida, with her husband, Theodore Allen, lovingly known as Ted. There, they spent many happy years together.

Priscilla was preceded in death by her husband Ted, daughter Audrey Hillsgrove, son-in-law Russell Hillsgrove, son-in-law Donald (Donnie) Snow, and sister Darolyn Ivey.

She was one of four siblings and is survived by her brother Vaughn Allen and her sister Mary Sue Merrill. Priscilla was the cherished mother of Verna Morann (husband William "Bill"), Debra Snow, Douglas "Doug" Allen (wife Deborah), Kenneth Allen (wife Lisa), Vaughn Allen (wife Holly), Penny Mongillo (husband Andrew "Andy"), and Lynn Stanley (husband Jason).

She was also blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as a large extended family, including numerous nieces, nephews, and her late husband Ted's sisters, all of whom held a special place in her heart and whom she cherished deeply.

Priscilla worked for many years at Bic Pen, where she formed lasting friendships.

Faith in Jesus was the cornerstone of Priscilla's life. Her strength, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need left a lasting impression on all who knew her and made her a mother and grandmother to many, both by blood and by love.

Priscilla took great pride in her family and loved keeping track of everyone's birthdays and spending summers traveling from Florida to Maine, reconnecting with loved ones and creating lasting memories along the way.

Priscilla's talents were as boundless as her heart. She had a passion for cooking and baking, creating delicious meals and beautifully decorated cakes for weddings, birthdays, and other special occasions. She was equally skilled in sewing and crocheting, crafting intricate Christmas decorations that became cherished family treasures.

A celebration of Priscilla's life will be held on Friday, January 24th, at 3 pm at Zephyrhills First Assembly, 36322 FL-54, Zephyrhills, FL.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Special Olympics, Susan G. Komen, or Loving Hands Ministry (Dade City).

Priscilla Allen's love, faith, and strength will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew her. She is now at peace in the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, and will never be forgotten.
