IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Phyllis Jean
Engle
April 10, 1944 – February 1, 2022
Phyllis Jean Engle went home to be with her oldest son, Terry Engle, younger sister, Christine Stegner and her parents, Homer and Alma George, on February 1, 2022, at 2:11 am after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Phyllis would have been 78 years young this April. She was born at home in Cable, OH in 1944. She lived a good part of her life in Urbana, OH and the remaining 36 years in the Tampa-Zephyrhills, FL area. She was an avid reader, doing puzzles, and enjoyed RV traveling with her husband for many years.
Phyllis was a devoted wife to her surviving husband, Paul (Gene) Engle for 59 years, a loving Mother to her surviving children: Shelley Smith and Jon (Roberta) Engle, as well as her grandchildren: Joseph Smith, Hanna Smith, Ashley (Mike) Beaupre, Timothy (Shelly) Pike, Daniel (Monica) Engle and Robyn Engle. Phyllis had 10 great grandchildren, Roger, Bryson, Mason, Danica, JP, James, Emily, Opie, Hayden and Layne. She is also survived by her sister Shirlene (Herb) Turner of Kentucky, Carol (Mike) Forhan of Ohio and brother Kenny George of Florida as well as her nephew Sean Hitchcock of Kentucky and niece Jessica (Brent) Horwath of Ohio.
Heaven gained a sweet Angel and she will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
