Brock, Pete Hutchison "Hutch" II, 54, a prominent local attorney and former Mayor of Dade City passed away peacefully at home on Sunday January 26, 2020. He is survived by his loving wife, Natalie, his three sons, Carson, Coleman and Connor Mack, his daughter Ashton, his father Pete and his two sisters, Nancy and Haley. Hutch was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend.

Hutch was born in Dade City, FL, on April 5, 1965. Following graduation from Jesuit High School in Tampa, he attended the University of Pennsylvania for one year where he played football and baseball. He transferred to the University of Florida in 1984 where he met his wife, Natalie, received a BSBA degree in 1987 and then a J.D. degree in 1990.

Upon graduating, he embarked upon a law career starting in Tampa with Fowler White. He then moved his family and career back home to Dade City where he practiced for 17 years before starting his own firm, Brock Law, in Wesley Chapel in 2012.

Hutch was proud of his Dade City heritage and was active in his community. He served as president of the Downtown Dade City Main Street, maintained membership in the Dade City and Wesley Chapel Rotary Clubs where he received a Paul Harris Fellow, was a board member of the Pasco Education Foundation and served as Master of Ceremonies for various community events.

Hutch was involved with his church serving on the Administrative Council. He also gave his time and talents to help Sunrise of Pasco County for over 20 years, an organization close to his heart. In 2004, he entered the political fray and was twice elected to the City Commission and served as Mayor from 2004-2008 during an important time in Dade Citys downtown revitalization.

He loved sports as a participant, as a Florida Gator and most importantly, as a coach of youth baseball, flag football and soccer. In recent years, he and his family enjoyed boating and other outdoor activities at their favorite getaway Boca Grande.

A celebration service will be held at First United Methodist Church, Dade City, at 11 a.m. on Saturday February 1st, 2020, followed by a reception at the churchs Christian Life Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the P. Hutchison "Hutch" Brock Memorial Scholarship Fund at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, check payable to the University of Florida Foundation with "Hutch Brock" in the memo line, mailed to:
