Persaila Benjamin, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on Saturday, October 10th, 2026, in Lakeland, Florida, at the age of 93.

She was born on June 6th,1933 in Lahore, Pakistan, to Ameeran and Motilal. She was the fourth child in a family of eight sisters and two brothers. She spent her childhood in Kashmir and Lahore, and completed her elementary education.

On April 11th, 1951, in Lahore, she married Benjamin Joseph. The couple made their home in Lahore, where they raised their family. In her later years, Persaila made her home in the United States, settling in Lakeland, Florida, where she lived until her passing.

Persaila had a great love of beautiful clothes and jewelry, and she carried herself with a care and elegance that those who knew her will always remember.

Family

Persaila leaves behind her seven children: Monica Benjamin; Robinson Benjamin (Passed Away); Veronica Khan and her husband, Obed Khan; Wilson Benjamin and his wife, Patchi Benjamin (Passed Away); Harrison Benjamin and his wife, Yasmin Benjamin; Rebecca Zubaid and her husband, Noel Zubaid; and Johnson Benjamin and his wife, Qaisera Benjamin.

Her family grew to include 25 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, bringing the number of her descendants to 61. She was the heart of a large and loving family that spans generations and continents.
