In Loving Memory of Paul Anthony Wood
June 21, 1967 – November 1, 2026
Paul Anthony Wood went home to be with the Lord on November 1, 2026, at the age of 59 three months after his wife Cynde Wood. He was born on June 21, 1967, at the Navy base in Jacksonville, Florida, to Judy Darlene Wood and Ronnie Paul Wood. He had two brothers, Gregory Wood and Jeff Wood, and one sister, Teresa Wood.
Paul worked for Davey Tree for many years until an injury changed the course of his working life. Throughout the years, he also worked as an electrician, mechanic, welder, and on a dairy farm. He was a jack of all trades who could fix, build, or figure out just about anything. As his daughter Ashley says, “My daddy really could do it all.”
He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, and raising and fighting chickens as a hobby. Some of Ashley’s most treasured memories are of the fishing competitions they attended together—memories she will carry in her heart forever.
Paul loved his wife, Cynde Wood, with everything in him. Her passing just three months before his brought deep sorrow. His family finds comfort in believing they are together again in heaven, free from pain.
Paul fought a lifelong battle with addiction, but that struggle never erased his worth or the love his family and Jesus had for him. About four weeks before his passing, he renewed his salvation and rededicated his life to Jesus. Knowing he turned his heart back to the Lord brings his family peace in the midst of their grief.
He leaves behind his beautiful daughter, Ashley Wood; his youngest child and only son, Joshua Paul Wood; and daughter Leigh Barker and his grand daughter Ariana Denease Wood
A visitation will be held on Tuesday November 10th from 12 - 1pm at Renewed Life church in Zephyrhills, and a service will follow at 1pm.
His life, his memory, and the love they shared will forever be part of them.
