Paul J. Neuhofer age 88, of St. Joseph, FL passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Tampa General Hospital. He was born on August 14, 1935, at home in St. Joseph, FL to Joseph P. and Helen Barthle Neuhofer. He was one of 11 children. He went to St. Leo Prep School and played football. He was also an Army Veteran. He married his true love and companion, Mary A. Butler, on June 17, 1961. Paul devoted his life to his wife and family and provided for them on the poultry farm he owned and operated with his brother Joe. Paul loved his family and spending time with all his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Paul was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he was involved in the Mens Club and was a Lector for many years. He enjoyed bowling, pitching horse shoes, and working the land.
Paul is survived by his children: Andrew (Andy) Neuhofer (Sharon), Marilyn Jeske (Kevin), Christopher (Chris) Neuhofer (Gina), Robin Neuhofer (Pam), Louis Neuhofer (Renee), Peter (Pete) Neuhofer, Iris Stanley (Michael), Daniel (Danny) Neuhofer (Angie), and Debora Chambers (Kenny); Grandchildren: Brandy Hosker (Tim), Christopher (Chris) Neuhofer (Kristyn), Virgil Jeske (Erica), Kandice Hunt (Josh), Tabitha Parson, Jacob Neuhofer (Amelia), Zachary (Zack) Neuhofer, Maryn Findley (Kyle), Morghan Neuhofer, Caleb Neuhofer, Robert Simpson (Christine), Damian Neuhofer, Gabriel (Gabe) Neuhofer, Abbie Musgrove, Brianna Stanley, Alexandra (Lexi) Neuhofer, Emma Chambers, and Kendra Chambers; Great-Grandchildren: August Riola, Leanna Riola, Jesse Neuhofer, Klayton Neuhofer, Lyle Neuhofer, Makayla Jeske, Megan Jeske, Alyssa Jeske, Carter Jeske, JJ Hunt, Nathan Hunt, Xavier Hunt, Noelle Neuhofer, Macie Neuhofer, Willa Simpson, and Sophia Neuhofer; Siblings: Sister Mary Clare Neuhofer, Lena Pearson (Malloy), Pat Neuhofer (Mary Ann), and Mike Neuhofer (Marcia); sister-in-law: Margie Neuhofer; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Paul was predeceased by his wife, Mary A. Neuhofer; his parents: Joseph P. and Helen F. Neuhofer; his siblings: Mary G. Neuhofer, Sister Mary Dorothy Neuhofer, Joe Neuhofer, Trudy LaBruzzo (Pete), Leo Neuhofer, and Frank Neuhofer.
The visitation will take place at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in St. Joseph, FL.
The funeral mass will take place at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 22, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in St. Joseph, FL.
Interment will take place at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church cemetery in St. Joseph, FL immediately following the funeral mass.
