Obituary

Paul Norman "Popsicle" LaCombe, 74 , of Dade City FL, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021 in the comfort of his home after a long courageous fight with pancreatic cancer. Born on September 28, 1946, in Manchester NH, he was the son of the late Alfred C. and Vivian M. (Fortier) LaCombe. Paul served proudly for four years in the United States Air Force and was awarded the Air Medal for bravery during his tour in Vietnam. Paul retired in September 2001 after 33 years with Verizon where he worked as a lineman and cable technician. Some of Paul and Dianes most treasured memories were the vacations shared with their life long friends John and Elaine Anthony. In retirement he took up golf and his crowning golf achievements were a hole in one in 2013 and most recently broke 80. Paul enjoyed spending time with his family, especially epic trivial pursuit nights and shooting the "breeze" with Pete on his back deck, he was an avid gambler and loved a good slot tournament, and most of all Paul loved a good cigar, a cold beer, and a crossword puzzle book. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 51 years: Diane (Doyon) whom he met on a blind date; his two children: Christopher of Charlotte, NC and his daughter: Tricia of Wesley Chapel, FL; his brother: Andre LaCombe and his partner Linda of Fairfield Glade, TN and his 4 children; his sister: Michelle Boisvert and her husband Richard of Goffstown, NH and their 3 children; his brother: Lawrence LaCombe and his wife Trish of Bedford, NH and their 3 children; his brothers and sisters in laws: Peter, Denis, Jane, Lisa, and Thomas, many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and all of his extended family. The family is planning a celebration of life after burial at Mount Calvary cemetery in Goffstown NH in the spring of 2022. The family extends their deepest appreciation to the caring doctors and nurses of Florida Cancer Specialists in Wesley Chapel FL for their care and love for Paul. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gulfside Hospice in Pauls honor. Gulfside.org
