Patty (Pat) Marie Bolen, a cherished member of the community and beloved family matriarch, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 18th, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on a crisp Sunday in Jackson, MI, in 1935, Patty later called both Lansing, MI, and Zephyrhills, FL, her home.

Throughout her life, Patty exhibited a nurturing spirit and an enduring love for her family. A devoted mother, she is survived by her daughters Bonnie Rindfleisch and Cynthia (Robert) Sweet. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Ian (Charlotte) Sweet and Amanda (Max) Sweet-Rady, along with her precious great-grandchildren, Marshall & Sadie Jo Sweet and Jack L Rady, who were her greatest joy and constant pride.

Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bolen, with whom she shared a remarkable life filled with love and devotion. They were married on Valentine's Day in 1975, and Robert preceded her in death in March of 2008. Patty also lovingly remembers her son, Douglas Emery, who passed on May 15, 2022.

A talented and passionate chef, Pat spent many years working at Michigan State University, retiring in 1994. An avid fan of MSU athletics, her kitchen was often filled with the aroma of delicious meals prepared with the same enthusiasm she exhibited for Spartan sports.

To celebrate her remarkable life, a gathering will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 7:00 PM at 37420 Wedgewood Drive, Zephyrhills, FL. Friends and family are invited to join in sharing memories and celebrating the mark Patty has left on all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Patty's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, reflecting her lifelong commitment to helping others.

Patty will be profoundly missed but will live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life.
