IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patsy "Mimi" Lee
(Swain) Hall
June 4, 1937 – January 12, 2025
Patsy Lee (Swain) Hall, 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2025 in
Zephyrhills, Florida. She was born on June 4, 1937, in Wahoo, Florida to Earl and Helen Swain.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her brother, Tom Swain and granddaughter, Lacey
McCarthy Bahr.
Patsy was the oldest of four children. She spent her first years living in Wahoo and later moving
to Bushnell with her family. She attended school in Bushnell and graduated from Bushnell High
in 1955. While in high school she was involved in various clubs, played girls basketball and was
a cheerleader. She would later marry her high school sweetheart, Robert (Bobby) Hall. The
couple had two children, Cindy and Derek.
Patsy first worked at the Sumter County School Board office in the Accounting Department.
After the family moved to Pasco County, she was a paraprofessional at San Antonio Elementary
school. She was also the bookkeeper for the family business, H & H raising commercial beef
cattle and Florida Cracker Horses. She kept meticulous records of finances, Walker Hound
pedigrees and Florida Cracker Horse bloodlines and registration papers.
Known as "Mimi" by family and friends, she took her family role as the Matriarch very seriously.
As the hostess for many family gatherings, for several holidays each year, she served up loving
and warm hospitality to all her guests. Her reputation for being a gracious hostess was well
known among family and friends near and far.
It has been her life's mission to care for all of her parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren
along with countless friends. If anyone became sick, Mimi was the first to show up with comfort
food, medicine and plenty of TLC. Her grandchildren, nieces and nephews were the "Light of
Her Life"! She never missed a performance by any of her children or grandchildren, whether it
be a ballgame, dance recital, rodeo, awards banquet or celebration. Mimi was always in
attendance with a camera or camcorder in hand.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of sixty-nine years, Robert (Bobby) Hall of
Zephyrhills, Florida; her children; Cindy McCarthy (Johnny) of Wellborn, Florida and Derek Hall
(Tricia) of Bushnell, Florida; grandchildren Robert Hall (Kate) of Dade City, Florida, and Matthew
Hall (Nicole) of Bushnell, Florida; her brother Dale Swain (Kay) of Bushnell, Florida; and sister
Peggy Wood (Mike) of Wildwood, Florida; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
