Patrick R. A. Draves, Ph. D.. 1971-2012. Beloved son, brother, uncle, mentor and friend. Left this Earth to join the angles in Heaven after a short battle with cancer. Originally of Mason, Mi he moved to Tampa, FL to pursue his doctorate degree at USF. Dr. Draves was a highly respected and regarded Professor of Psychology at St. Leo University. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, colleagues, and students. Patrick was a deeply caring and loving person that went out of his way to help friends and students alike. He volunteered with organizations that assisted the less unfortunate. Dr. Draves was a mentor and encourager to all. Patrick is survived by his parents, Dave and Elizabeth Reeves; sister and brother-in-law, Sandy (Draves) and Scott Lightle; nieces, Gabrielle and Sarah Lightle; grandfather, Cecil Ribar; many cousins, aunts and uncles. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Leo University or HPH Hospice are requested.Visitation will be held at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 11441 US Hwy 301, Dade City, on February 14, 2012 at 2:30pm-4:30pm. A memorial service will be held at St. Leo in The Abbey at 6:00pm. A short visitation will be February 15, 2012 from 12:00pm-12:30pm with a service at 12:30 at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City with a graveside service at 1:00pm.
