Patricia Marie Pike, 87 of San Antonio, Florida, passed peacefully, surrounded by family on April 21, 2026. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother and lifelong resident of Pasco County. She will be missed by her family and community.
Patricia Marie Joyner was born July 5, 1938 to Ernest and Ruby (Persetha “Seth”) Joyner. Her and twin sister, Margeret Hines were siblings to Elizabeth King, Mary O’Berry, Ernest “Sonny” Joyner, and survived by youngest sister Chleo Walker. She married Claude Henry Pike Jr. (deceased 1997) in 1956. Patricia “Pat” is mother to Benny Pike (wife Charmayne), Patti (Pike) Riordan (husband Brian), and Mark Pike (wife Michelle). She was grandmother to Trevor Fagan, Tyler Fagan, Kaylyn Pike, Hunter Pike, Joshua Desert, and had six great grandchildren. She attended school in Dade City, then went to work for Pasco County, becoming the Director of Social Services. After her initial retirement, she went back to work for the City of San Antonio. She devoted her time, professionally and personally, to her family and the community. She was a core parishioner at San Anthony’s Catholic Church, active in the Leading Ladies, the Catholic Women’s Club, and always looking for other opportunities to help in community events, county fairs, or fund raisers. Her legacy of always giving to her family, friends, and community is a great example for us all to follow!
Pat loved seeing her kids and grandkids play sports; loved dancing, and trips to the mountains (short trips – she LOVED Pasco – it was home). She loved working in her yard,
and staying in touch with everyone in her local community network. Her devotion to living life full of family and community will be missed.
