Obituary

Patricia Mae Nelson, age 82 born on 14 October 1942 in Washington, DC passed away on 19 December 2024 in Dade City, Florida. Daughter of the late Roy W. and Mary V. Collins of Washington, DC. She is survived by her grandson, Tyler Gault of Salisbury, MD., five sisters: Lois A. McGowan, Christine (Tina) Tinsley of Florida, Linda M. Teal of Ocean City, MD., Janice L. Rogers of Knoxville, TN and Sharon S. Brunson of New Bern, NC and many other beloved nephews, nieces, cousins, and dear friends. She is predeceased by her beloved sons, Timothy Gault and Mark A. Gault of Maryland, her brothers Robert R. (Bob) Collins and William G. (Billy) Collins of Florida.

Pat Nelson had a long career with the federal government, she worked for the Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management. After retiring around age 55, Pat was very active in the antique business which she loved very much. She had several small shops in Hughesville and Waldorf, MD and later opened a successful antique shop with her son Mark in Florida. Pat loved the ocean and going to her favorite beaches like Ocean City, MD, Tampa and Clearwater, FL. She loved eating crabs, playing cards and Trivia games, reading, writing short stories, and getting together for picnics, birthdays, and holidays with all her family members. She loved animals of all kinds, especially birds. She loved going to the local zoos and would spend hours watching the gorillas and monkeys. Pat was a beautiful soul inside and out and will be truly missed by her loved ones.

The family asks for continued prayers. No memorial service per Pat's wishes. Interment is private
