Obituary

Patricia J. Hill graduated to Glory on May 6, 2026. Born June 26, 1932, in Sanford, FL to Alex R. Johnson Sr. and Elsie Garner Johnson. Patricia lived a life marked by hard work, strength, and determination.

As a young girl, Patricia attended school in Seminole County before moving with her family to Miami and then later to the Homestead area, where she graduated from Homestead High School. After moving back to Miami with her family her parents built a home in Keystone Point. There she and her father became Auxiliary Coast Guard members and officers of the same. Driven by a passion for helping others, she pursued nursing studies at Miami Dade Junior College and Barry University, ultimately earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and becoming a Registered Nurse.

Patricia devoted her professional life to caring for others through her nursing work in; labor and delivery, eye surgery, behavioral health, and private nursing. Her nursing career spanned decades, including many years serving patients within Jackson Memorial Hospital in Maimi and the Hillsborough County Hospital in Tampa. In 1998, she made Dade City her home, where she continued to touch the lives of many.

A faithful member of San Antonio Community Church since its onset in1999, Patricia found joy in her church family and served in childcare ministry for a long period. In her neighborhood she enjoyed yard work even at the age of 93. She was known as a hard-working, independent, opinionated woman who offered advice freely to family, friends, and strangers alike.

Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved son, Josh Hill Jr. and her former husband, Dr. Josh Hill.

She is survived by her children; Katharine Hill, Kim Richmond, and Nora Fulton; her nephew, Alex R. Johnson III; her grandchildren, Joslyn Hill, Jodi Dunn, Kimberly Lakra, Jordan Fulton, Jeremy Richmond, and Aaron Fulton; as well as 18 great-grandchildren which she proudly talked about given the opportunity. She will also be missed by extended family members and friends from her journey through this life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Hope Beyond Today, her granddaughter's non-for-profit ministry supporting "Reaching a Hand of Hope to India's Children Living in Poverty," P.O. Box 233, Lima, NY 14485.
