Patricia Ann Burnette Clark of Zephyrhills passed away on Friday, August 9th after a sudden but brief illness. Pat was born in Scranton, Pa, November 1st 1947 the daughter of James and Marjorie Clark Robbins. She spent her childhood in Chenango Forks, new York and in 1972 relocated to Florida to attend the university of South Florida. While at USF she started the very first Brownie Troop for hearing impaired girls. Pat married Robert Burnette of Tampa Florida in 1976, and together In 1984 founded the Kids Korner Preschool in Zephyrhills which is still serving the community 40 years later. She was an educator at Woodland Elementary where she taught 2nd grade and Stewart middle School where she taught 6th grade English before retiring in 2011. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert, son Bryan Clark Burnette (Lynn), daughter Sara Rose Thormahlen(Rusty), nieces Diane Weber and Jackie Champion, granddaughters Cora Cameron, Lydia Burnette, Sofia Burnette, Claire Thormahlen, and grandsons Colt Thormahlen, Bryan Lee Burnette and Dakota Freed. Pat was predeceased by her parents, her sister Karen, and her son, Christian who died in infancy. She was a loving wife, mother and friend! She will be greatly missed by her family and the Zephyrhills community!
