Patricia (Pat) Ann Tompkins Chumas, beloved Mother, Aunt, and Grandmother, passed away April 29, 2020 in Dade City, Florida. She was born to James Bradford (JB) Tompkins and Annie Faye Sport Kepp in Luverne, Alabama on July 2, 1947. Pat, or Patty as her late husband John called her, graduated from Groveland High School in Groveland, Florida in 1965. She moved to Dade City, Florida in the 70s. While she was a resident of Dade City, she worked at Lykes Pasco and The City of Dade City as an Executive Assistant to the police chief. Later, she was self-employedworking for her company Pitty Pats Pretties where she collected, bought, and sold Depression Glass with her good friend Candy Youmans. She was also a long-time retailer at local flea markets.

Pat left Dade City and moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 1997 where she married her late husband John Chumas. While living in Myrtle Beach, she worked in office administration for Sun Belt Homes. During her twenty plus years in Myrtle Beach, she became an avid quilter and loved sewing with friends. She also enjoyed working in her yard, growing vegetables and beautiful flowers.

Pat moved back to Florida in August of 2018. She and her husband John moved to Dade City to be close to her daughters and although she left this world too soon, her daughters are grateful for the time they had with her. Memories of her will forever be cherished by them.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Nancy Kay Tompkins Wise (sister), John Chumas (husband). She is survived by her three daughters; Angie Guy (David), Tiffannie Alligood, Stacey Alligood (Mike Johnson), 4 grandchildren; Garrett Butler (Katy), Tyler Guy, Morgan Butler, and Jacob Guy, great granddaughter Emma Grace Butler, two nephews; Chris Moss (Kimberly) and Jeremy Wise.

A Celebration of Life Open House to honor her life will take place on Sunday, June 28 th beginning at 2:00 p.m. It will be held at 12707 Eastpointe Drive, Dade City Florida 33525. Family and friends wishing to pay their respects should feel free to drop-in between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
