Otto P. Henry III, 65, died Sunday, May 31st, 2015 at Gulfside Center for Hospice in Zephyrhills, Florida following a battle with cancer. He was born September 24, 1949 in Rome, the son of Otto and Iris Henry. He was educated in Rome and Verona schools before enlisting in the United States Navy in 1969 and was honorably discharged in 1973. Otto was employed with Oneida, LTD for 37 years, and then went on to retire at the United States Mint in 2011. On March 9, 1973 he married Maxine Bowman at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Rome. He was an avid golfer and longtime member of the Oneida Community Golf Course in Sherrill, NY. Otto is survived by his wife of 42 years, Maxine (Bowman) Henry; his daughter, Trista Wall and husband Jake Wall, granddaughter, Jasmine Wall; his daughter, Stacy Henry and partner, Jon P. TenBroeck II; his daughter, Tracy Henry and partner John Brancaccio Jr. Also surviving are his sister, Judy Houle and husband Bob; his sister Laura Reckentine; his brother Alex Henry, and wife Linda; his sister, Debbie Johnson and husband Freddie; his sister Carolee Niles, and partner George; his brother Dale Henry and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Iris DeRouchie Henry; father, Otto P. Henry Jr; and sister, Kim R. Coleman. A memorial service will be held at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church, 502 W. Chestnut Street, Rome, NY 13440 on June 19th, 2015 at 1pm. A reception will follow at Oneida Community Golf Course Club House, 1017 Golf Course Lane, Oneida, NY.
