OLGA MAY MILLER Olga May Miller was born in the parish of St. Ann in Jamaica, W.I. to Claudius Grant and Matilda Keys on August 15, 1921. In the 1940s she moved to London, England, where she met and married the love of her life, Justinian Ethelbert Miller, who preceded her in death. In 1958, Olga returned to Jamaica where she was employed as a teacher in the primary school system for nine years. She would later change profession and become a registered nurse. In 1968, Olga migrated to the United States and was employed by Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY as a head nurse in its emergency room until her retirement in 1986. Once retired, Olga became an active resident of the Port Saint Lucie retirement community in Florida. She was a faithful member to her beloved church, Seventh Day Adventist ("SDA") denomination and attended regular services until health challenges presented difficulties. As a lifelong member of the Church, she served at various times as choir member, choir leader, Sabbath School teacher and Organist. Olga loved crossword puzzles, and in her later years there had to be a huge supply on hand for her. She also loved traveling and people watching. But what she loved the most, until unable to do so, was reading and studying the word of God. Olgas final nine (9) years were spent in the care of her son, Justinian (J. Earl) Miller and his family in Tampa, Florida. Legacy of Love: One daughter, Ena Goodall preceded her in death, (2013).
