Odessa Overstreet, 85, of Dade City, passed away January 9, 2019. Loving mother and wife. She was a telephone operator in her early years. Odessa was an avid flower gardener, sharing her cuttings and seeds with many. She was an active member of Pasadena Baptist Church. Odessa was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years: Lawrence Preston Overstreet, Jr.; parents: Charles Wesley Prater and Curtis Lenorah; brothers: Charles, Wesley, and Eugene; sisters: Mary (Brooks), May (Pruitt), and Mamie (Puckett). Survivors include brother: Milton; children: Randy, Donna (Farmer), and Denise; grandchildren: J.R., Justen, Crysta, and Ashley (Brogan); great grandchildren: Jada, Rileigh, Wyatt, and Jax; brothers-in-law: James Larry Overstreet and Jim Creel; sisters-in-law: Jean, Gay and Leanne; son-in-law: Chance; daughter-in-law: Connie; grandson-in-law: Patrick; granddaughter-in-law: Eva. Viewing will be 4-6PM January 12 at Hodges Family Funeral Home (11441 US Hwy 301, Dade City.) Funeral Service will be at 12PM January 13 at Hodges Family Funeral Home with burial to follow at Williams Cemetery, Dade City.
