Obituary

"Nydia Lucia "Cucu" Mejia was a lover, not a fighter. She was a caring person that would give someone the world even when she didn't have anything herself.

Hustling in the nights as a waitress to support two boys in the craziness of Miami was a huge task to take on, but she did it and did so happily, as long as it was for her two kids. She loved both of them dearly and would stop the world on its knees if her kids were needing. She devoted her heart, body and soul into providing for them and others because that's what her heart desired. She loved us to the moon and back, as we used to say.

One of her recently favorite songs was "Flowers" by Miley Cyrus. She always was a free, independent soul that could literally buy herself her own flowers. She could change the energy of the room for the better, which I revere as an emotional independence. Every single time this song would come on, she would get up and start dancing, snapping her fingers, and loving her truth.

Nydia Lucia Mejia was a survivor and will always be, even in the afterlife, because no one could mess with her physically, mentally, or spiritually.

She was loved by many because that's the effect she had on people. Even if they weren't left on good standings, they still loved her to the end because you could never find another one like her. She was the diamond in the pile of stones.

You're going to be missed infinitely, to the moon and back. 🥲❤️"
