Norma Jean (Colvin) Vessels, 74, of Zephyrhills, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 13, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was an active and proud member of the Moose Lodge #2276 in Zephyrhills, FL, she was an avid bowler, loved to dance, and was a huge UK fan. Norma was born on July 8, 1940 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late William, Sr. and Catherine (Simpson) Colvin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Vessels. Norma is survived by her children, Dan Vessels (JoAnn), Tim Vessels (Helen), Lonnie Missey Badgett (Ed); brother, William Colvin, Jr.; grandchildren, Sheila, Shawn, Lisa, Nicki, DJ, Kelli, Ross, Cory; 11 great-grandchildren; special friend, Claudia Curry; and her four legged sidekick, Casey Jo. Her family will receive friends on Thursday, Dec 18, 2014 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Hodges Family Funeral Home, Hwy 54, Zephyrhills. A funeral service will take place on Friday, Dec 19, 2014 at 11:00am in the Chapel Mausoleum at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery in Dade City.
