Obituary

Norma Parker, 83Norma Lou Parker was born in Yellville, Arkansas, the 2nd of 7 children to Arch & Ann Mears on September 17, 1929. She married Bill Parker on December 15, 1950 in Yellville. Bill, Norma and their two daughters, Janet and Jeana moved to many places because of Bills work. They lived in Arkansas, Kansas, Wisconsin, Canada, Missouri, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and finally Florida. At each move Norma would start a new career and make new friends. She had life-long friends from everywhere she lived. Norma enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, watching sports and mystery shows. Most of all, she enjoyed visiting with her many friends and family. Norma was preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband Bill Parker of Brooksville, Florida, her daughters Janet Parker and Jeana Houghton as well as her son-in-law Patrick Houghton and her grandchildren, Andrea & Connor Houghton all of Casselberry, Florida. Survivors also include her in-laws Pauline Mears of Yellville, Arkansas, Hazel Miller of Yakima, Washington and Hortense & Myles Sullivan of Springfield Missouri. Mrs. Parker passed away Wednesday, June 5 at the Sturgill Hospice Care Center in Brooksville, FL. Funeral Services will be held at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City on Wednesday, June 12. Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
