GROVE, Norma Louise Carelle, 88, of San Antonio, FL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 25th, 2021 in Sarasota, FL. She was born on April 27, 1933, in Bridgeville, PA, to parents John and Antonette Carelle. Norma grew up in the Bridgeville/Presto area of Pennsylvania with her siblings, Mario, Mary, and Julia. She graduated from Scott Township High School and soon met the person that would later become her husband while roller skating, one of her favorite pastimes. She married the love of her life, Harry Eugene "Gene" Grove on October 16, 1954 in Bridgeville, Pa. She enjoyed her position as a bookkeeper for the L.B. Foster Company in the Pittsburgh area until she and Gene moved to San Antonio, FL in 1960. She then worked at the San Antonio Lumber Company as their bookkeeper. Norma and Gene loved to travel and some of her most notable and favorite locations were Alaska, Costa Rica, Europe, Hawaii, Canada, and throughout the western United States. They also enjoyed volunteering at the San Antonio Community United Methodist Church as well as throughout their community. They took pride in their love of flowers and gardening, and of course, card playing. She is survived by her loving husband, Harry Eugene Grove, and her two daughters; Toni Maye Werner and Deborah Jean Whitley. Also to be included is her Son-in-law; Andrew M. Werner Sr., and her grandchildren; Andrew M. Werner Jr. and Peter D. Werner. The grandsons brought her great joy and she cherished her time with them. She was also close to her nephews; Gary (Dee Ann) and Dan (Dawn) Wauthier, and Jeff (Marie) Carelle along with nieces; Colleen Hendricks (Paul), Mary Ellen Handlon, and Tracey (Gary) Carelle. She had many dear friends from the United Community Methodist Church, the Day-Z Flower Club, Leading Ladies and fellow Bridge players. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Antonette Carelle, Brother; Mario Carelle, and Sisters; Mary Handlon, and Julia Wauthier. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, December 11th at 11:00 am, at the San Antonio Community United Methodist Church at 32606 Michigan Avenue, San Antonio, Fl. 33576.
