Noma Braxton 91, of Zephyrhills, FL passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018. He was born January 13, 1927 in Cottondale, FL to James Albert & Mary Lulie Sloan Braxton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a retired Machinist from CF Industries. He had been active with the Moose Lodge, the Eagles Lodge and the VFW. He was preceded in death by 2 children: Ernie Braxton and Paula Braxton; their mother: Bertha D. Braxton; and 1 grandson: Sean Spaights. Noma is survived by 3 children: Melinda Braxton Spaights and her husband Curtis, Daryl Braxton, Hiram Eugene; 11 grandchildren: Heather, Tawayna, Hiram R., Lesli, James, Alisha, Melissa, Shawna, Jodee Rose, Kory, Malcolm; and 24 great grandchildren. A Celebration of His Life will be held 3pm Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City.
