Nilsa Vargas, age 59, of Dade City, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2024, at the Rucki Hospice Care Center. Born on June 11, 1965, in Passaic, New Jersey, Nilsa was the daughter of Davina and Jose Marti. Known for her passion for life and the joy she found in it, Nilsa deeply loved her friends and family, making everyone around her feel special. She faced a courageous two-year battle with pancreatic cancer, displaying unwavering strength and courage with every heartbeat until her last breath. Her career as a Patient Care Technician and her education in graduate school for Dialysis Technology reflected her dedication to caring for others. Nilsa is survived by her three beloved daughters: Janine, Janil, and Jenaira. She was also a cherished grandmother to Amelya, Athenious, Jaidyn, Helious, and James. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings: Joe, Noli, Maritza, Ivan, and Mike. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Rucki Hospice Care Center for their compassionate care during Nilsas final days. We also want to extend our deepest thanks to all who shared moments with our mamma throughout her lifetime; she truly was a gem.
