Nelson Wayne Ekiss age 70, of Wesley Chapel, passed away Thursday, May 12th, 2022. He was born June 6, 1951, in Canton Illinois, to Milton F and Vivian E (McClure) Ekiss. He graduated from Pasco High School in Dade City. He worked at GTE of Tampa as a repairman and Telecommunications for 30 years. He later worked at Pasco County School District office in Telecommunications in Land O Lakes for 15 years. He was a member of Trilacoochee Church of Christ. Nelson is survived by his wife of 49 years Brenda Y Ekiss, two daughters; Michelle L Burkett (Jamie), and Cynthia R Ekiss, mother; Elaine, brothers; Russell D Ekiss (Vikki), Jay B Ekiss (Patty), J. Bret Ekiss (Mary), and sister; Tara L Collins, two grandchildren; Joshua S Green (Nikki), and, Coral M Burkett, and one great-granddaughter; Eira N Green, as well as many nieces and nephews, Nelson was preceded in death by his father Milton "Mike" Ekiss, the patriarch of the family.
