Naomi Lankford was a 6th generation Floridian. She grew up singing on the radio and would eventually pass this passion for gospel music down to her children. While working as a waitress on roller skates at the Freezette in Dade City, Naomi met the man of her dreams, Curtis Lankford. With their three daughters, Naomi and Curtis formed the Lankford Family Gospel singing group. Naomi was the driving force behind this family spreading the word of God through music up and down the East Coast for many years.
Naomi was a strong and graceful woman who loved being with her family. She was a talented florist, enjoyed attending gospel sings, and was an active member of Pasadena Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and touched many lives through her music ministry. Naomi was also an active member in her community with some of the local establishments even knowing her by name. Her family likes to imagine that up in heaven she is creating the biggest floral wreath you could imagine, shopping with an unlimited Hobby Lobby gift card, and enjoying an endless Freds Buffet. More importantly, Naomi is now able to check in with all of her family all the time, which is what she always dreamed of.
