Myrtle K. (Patterson) Auton age 92, of Dade City, passed away Saturday, July 13th, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

Myrtle was born on January 1, 1927, in Dade City, to parents Columbus and Sarah E. (Sullivan) Patterson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband; Edward E. Auton, sister; Addie Patterson and brother; C.W Patterson.

Myrtle was a lifelong resident of Dade City and attended First Baptist Church, she was very involved in the Prime Timers and sang in the choir. She was a master gardener and loved to work in the yard tending to her flowers and vegetables. She loved quilting and canning and helping her husband with the cows and groves. Survivors include a son; Eddie Auton, a daughter Sue Auton Hubert (Jon), grandchildren Katie Brown, and Crystal Steedley, 3 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren, and a sister Virginia Poitevint.

The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday, July 16, at Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 Chapel Dade City. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 17th, 2019 at 10:00 am at Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 Chapel Dade City, with burial to follow at 12:30 pm at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
