Monty (Buzz) James Todt, 75, passed away on June 7, 2019 at Gulfside Hospice, Zephyrhills, Florida. He died of complications of Agent Orange exposure during his service as a Marine, serving in Vietnam. Buzz is survived by his loving wife of 52 years: Jeanie Lee Todt; two sons: Christopher and Erik; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents: Max and Fannie; two brothers; and two sisters. Buzz was born on August 26, 1943 in Montevideo, MN. Buzz was in the Marine Corp from 1962-66. He graduated from El Camino College in California with a degree in business. In 1972, he moved to MN and accepted a position as an insurance agent for Farmers Insurance Group, where he worked for over 30 years. Prior to returning to MN, Buzz became a flight instructor and during his entire professional career he became one of few people to actually control planes, trains, and automobiles. Buzz was a great family man, loving father, who was deeply involved in church for the majority of this life. He enjoyed golf, planes and his car "Old Yeller". His family and friends will always remember him as a storyteller, full of jokes and a loving person. A visitation is scheduled from 1-2pm on June 20, 2019 at Idlewild Church in Lutz, with a service at 2pm.
