ABRAHAM, Mildred, 81, of Dade City, in her true fashion, slipped quietly away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. She was born August 23, 1933, in Hazelhurst, Ga., living most of her life in Dade City. She was predeceased by her parent, Thelma (Carter) and Carl Phillips, along with children, Bobby & Laura, sister-in-law Lorise, and soul mate, Lewis. She is survived by Lisa (Kip), Tony (Pam), grandchildren, Andi, Chad, Ariel, Joey, Bo, Kristen and David, Cousin Joann, her sister, CD (Bill), and three great-grandchildren. Mildred loved gardening, the beach, going to the movies and Broadway shows. In her earlier days, she was active in the Dade City Garden Club, made candy apples for the school carnival, and sold Krispy Kreme Donuts in the wee hours of the morning for the high school band. While her family grew up, many will remember her door always being open with a come on in, sit down, would you like something to eat Although a consummate cook and famous for her parties, her biggest accomplishment was the love she showed to her children, grandchildren, and a host of other kids that needed a safe haven. Graveside services will be held at 9:30am, Friday, April 24, 2015 at Chapel Hill Gardens where Mildred will be laid to rest next to her soul mate, Lewis.
