Michael Frederick Roessler "Roessler", 76, of Dade City, FL passed away peacefully on Monday, November 20, 2023 at AdventHealth Tampa Hospital with his wife by his side. Michael was born to Karl Frederick Roessler Jr "Fred" and Rosemary Greeson "Rose" on September 15, 1947, in Indianapolis, IN. His parents preceded him in death. He was the oldest of three children, survived by his devoted brother, John "Danny", and preceded in death by their younger sister, Elizabeth "Beth". He was raised in Beech Grove, IN and Vincennes, IN. A three-sport Beech Grove Hornet, he was a natural born leader and fierce competitor.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Brenda, his daughter, Rene (Jon) Schoening, as well as eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His son, Kevin, preceded him in death.
He is also survived by his dear mother-in-law. Helen Barton, brother-in-law, Brent Loftice, and sister-in-law, Kim (Allen) Hartman. He was "Uncle Mike" to several nephews and nieces. His father-in-law, Walter Loftice, preceded him in death.
Michael was the consummate salesman, and a generous manager who loved to coach and mentor. His first sales job was at Shane Co, Indianapolis IN, but he found his sweet spot in Broadcast Media Sales. Over the years he worked in multiple markets at various stations.
He connected with people on a very personal level, and met his wife at work in May 1978. They were best of friends for decades before their journeys brought them to marriage in 2010. He loved tropical vacations, and Cancun was his favorite destination.
Michael retired in 2009 and they moved to Dade City, FL. He spent his retirement meticulously caring for their home, cutting grass and bleaching fences in the neighborhood. He was a good, thoughtful neighbor. He also liked to explore FL with his wife and eat at good restaurants.
Fair, generous, honest, humorous, intelligent and loyal are just some of the attributes that describe Michael. He will be remembered for his incredible intelligence that was quick yet never haughty, for his imaginative sense of humor, and for his steadfast love and generosity. Always one to keep the focus off himself, he has requested privacy for his memorial.
Arrangements are being entrusted to Hodges Funeral Home of Dade City, FL.
