Obituary

Michael DiNoia Aged 74, of Dade City passed away September 9, 2015 Mr. DiNoia was born in Long Beach, New York to immigrant parents. He has two sisters, one older, Nicoletta, and one younger, Maria. When Mike was starting middle school, the family moved to Farmingdale. Mike had a paper route as a young boy, and then worked for the local supermarket while in high school. After graduating high school, his first job was with Grumman Aircraft Corp, where he was employed for 43 years. He attended college in the evening and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Hofstra University.In April of 1970, Michael married Marilyn Hay from Farmingdale, built a home in Miller Place, where they raised two daughters, Alison and Patricia. They resided there for 25 years and had wonderful neighbors and memories.Mike was transferred with Northrop Grumman to California in 1994. They lived there until Mike retired in 2004. Mike and Marilyn then moved to Florida where their daughter Alison, husband Tim, and first grandson, Michael Daniel, were living.They have been in Dade City approximately 11 years and made many friends. During that time, Alison and Tim had two sons, Aaron and Ryan. Mike and Marilyns younger daughter, Patricia, married James Reister and reside on the eastern end of Long Island. Patricia and Jim have a daughter, Riley, and a son Brody.Mike was a very devoted husband and grandfather. In his leisure time, he enjoyed skiing, golf, bowling, and all of the social activities involved with Lake Jovita. A memorial service will be held Sunday September 13, 2015 at 6p.m. at Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 chapel. The visitation will be from 4 to 6 at the Funeral Home.
