Michael Carl Cotter, 54 of Lakeland, FL passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014. He was born July 12, 1959 in Ocala, FL to Leo Charles & Irene Lucille Terenowicz Cotter and was a longtime area resident. He was an Engineer and a member of the Resurrection Catholic Church in Lakeland. He is survived by his daughters: Julie and Emily Cotter; parents: Irene & Leo Cotter; partner: Ibi Stipkovits; siblings: Terry Cotter, Thomas Cotter, Kenny Cotter, Theresa Fiore, Paul Cotter, Mary Jo Gude, Cathy Henry; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother: Bernard Cotter; and a nephew: Tommy Cotter. Funeral services will be held 1pm Friday, March 21, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dade City. Interment will follow at St. Joe Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday evening at the church with a Rosary service to be held at 7:30pm. Flowers will be gratefully accepted or those that wish may make donations in his memory to the American Heart Association.
