COCHRAN, Michael "Mike" Paul, age 44, of Zephyrhills, FL, passed away on December 1, 2022. He was born on October 15, 1978 in Danville, KY.

He graduated from Zephyrhills High School in 1997. After graduating, Michael joined the United States Marine Corps and served his country until he was honorably discharged in 2003. His Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) included calibration of electronics and working as a Marksmanship Instructor. During his service, he received the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Rifle Expert Badge, and Pistol Sharpshooter Badge.

Mike was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed baseball, soccer, and football. He played both soccer and football and even competed in the Paralympics in 2005, where he participated in the obstacle course, shooting, shot put, and ping pong. He loved collecting baseball cards and watching Alabama football!

Michael was preceded in death by his father, James Michael Cochran; paternal grandmother, Faye Cochran; maternal grandfather, Beauford Price; and two uncles, Larry & Barry Price.

Loving survivors include his parents: Anna & Kenneth Jenkins of Zephyrhills, FL; grandparents: Geneva Price of Liberty, KY and Paul Cochran of Stanford, KY; siblings: Letritia Wortham of Hollow Rock, TN, Kelly Jenkins of Benld, IL, and Jacqueline Jenkins of Zephyrhills, FL; nieces: Chloe Wortham, Alyssa & Holley Miles, and Anastacia Horn; dear friend, Dustin Hoyle; and many other friends and loved ones.

A visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City, Florida. He will then be laid to rest at Memorial Gardens in Liberty, Kentucky. Please check back soon for service dates and times in Kentucky.
