Michael Beggs 50, of Dade City passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017. He was born July 23, 1967 in Franklin, PA to Harold & Esther Sherretts Beggs and was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran. Michael worked for the Pasco County School System as a Plant Manager at Centennial Elementary School. He bravely fought cancer for the past 20 years. His determination ran deep, so quitting was never an option for him. He was a warrior until the very end. He will be remembered as a loving father and husband. Michael is survived by his wife of 21 years: Denise Beggs; his son: Brandon Beggs; step mother: Virginia Beggs; and 2 brothers: David & Randy Beggs. He was preceded in death by his parents: Harold & Esther Beggs; 1 brother: Steve Beggs and his father-in-law: Alton Southern. A Celebration of his Life will be held 11am Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Flowers will be gratefully accepted or those that wish may make donations to the family for an educational fund for Brandon. Visitation
