Melvin R. Hicks "Melwood" 61, passed away at Moffitt Cancer Center on November 4, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife, Michele Cramer Hicks, and 2 sons: Kevin Hicks (Samantha) and Jason Hicks; parents: Cecil Ray Hicks and Dorothy Copeland (Marcus); brothers: Tony Hicks and Lonnie Hicks (Danielle); grandchildren: McKenzie and Kye Hicks; nephews: Adam Hicks and Mark Hicks; nieces: Kristy Kassabaum, Kaeleigh Hicks, Alex Rice, Erin Rice, Maya Hagelin Cramer.

Melvin was born in Dade City, FL where he attended school and raised a family. He was employed with Ringpower Corp. for 32 years. He was a devoted father to Kevin and Jason, loving husband to Michele and proud grandpa to McKenzie and Kye. He was an avid Nascar fan (Jimmie Johnson 48) and fisherman. He enjoyed the comforts of home, especially in his shed where he loved watching Nascar races, working on building projects and grilling.

Melvin's personality was larger than life itself. The memories of him and the great love he had for his family and friends will live on in those who loved him.

A Celebration of his Life will be held 5:30pm Friday, November 12th, 2021 at his brother Tony's house at 12930 Williams Road, Dade City, FL 33525.
