Melissa A. Brown, 66, of Zephyrhills, FL passed away on January 14, 2019.

Born on July 4, 1952 in Goshen, NY to the late Harold and June (Kasch) Innocent, Melissa was a 1970 graduate of Goshen High School and continued her education at West Liberty State College in West Liberty, WV earning a bachelors degree in Home Economics.

Melissa was a dedicated Home & Careers teacher for 35 years with the Minisink Valley School District. She was an excellent cook, an avid reader, and enjoyed taking care of her garden. After retiring in Florida she enjoyed going to car shows. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to the tropics.

She is survived by her husband Lee Brown of Zephyrhills, FL; daughter Allison Juchem (Kris Howell) of Seffner, FL; stepson Christopher (Katee) Brown of New Cumberland, PA; grandson Austin Brown; three sisters Barbara (Dan) O'Brien, Cheri (Tom) Nosworthy and Jodi (Raphael) Hirsch; brother-in-law Grant Brown Jr, as well as two aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Melissas name to the Alzheimer's Association.
