Maxine Joyce Chancey 92, of Zephyrhills, FL passed away Wednesday, February 19th, 2020 at her home under the care of Gulfside Hospice. She was born August 17, 1927 in Groveland, FL to Lawrence & Jessie Geiger Adkins and was a longtime area resident. She had a talent for cooking and fishing and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Maxine is survived by her husband: Maurice Chancey; 2 children: Raymond Chancey (Diane), Patricia Wright (Terry); 1 sister: Virginia Fair; 4 grandchildren: Daryl Kress (Teresa), Ray Chancey (Taralyn), Lynda Williams (Don), Trina Sweet; and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 11am Tuesday, February 25th, 2020 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City, with burial to follow at Dade City Cemetery. The family will receive friends for viewing one hour prior to service time at the funeral home on Tuesday.
