Maurice Chancey 95, of Zephyrhills, FL passed away Wednesday, August 19th, 2020 at his home. He was born January 16, 1925 in Tampa, FL to Morris & Grace Horton Chancey. He was a lifelong area resident and served in the U.S. Navy. He held the position of the oldest living graduate of Zephyrhills High School and was retired from the Trucking Industry. He loved his family and friends and especially enjoyed entertaining guests with stories from his life and the early days of Zephyrhills.

Maurice is survived by 2 children: Raymond Chancey (Diane), Patricia Wright (Terry); 1 brother: Steve Chancey (Debbie); 4 grandchildren: Daryl Kress (Teresa), Ray Chancey (Taralyn), Lynda Williams (Don), Trina Polk (Kenny); and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Maxine Joyce Chancey and great-granddaughter Chelsey.

Funeral Services will be held 2pm Monday, August 24th, 2020 at Hodges Family Funeral Home 54 Chapel in Zephyrhills, with burial to follow at Dade City Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
