Matthew John McDonald, 61, of Zephyrhills, Florida passed away on November 29, 2018. He was born on May 13, 1957 in Jersey City, New Jersey the son of Raymond Sr. and Rosanna McDonald. Matthew is a graduate of Memorial High School, West New York, NJ. He served honorably in the US Army.

Matthew began working for the US Postal Service in the Bulk Mail Facility in Jersey City in 1981 until he transferred to the Tampa Airport Facility in 2015. He always served as a Shop Steward helping protect the rights of his co-workers. Matthew was a member of American Legion Post 321 Union Beach, New Jersey.

He is survived by his wife: Barbara of 30 years, son: Patrick and wife Jessica and grandchildren: Jameson and Daniel of Tinton Falls, daughter, Kaitlyn, and grandchild Lyonna of Hazlet. Matthew will be sorely missed by siblings, sister, Nora (ODonnell) and Danny of Woodbridge, Kyle and Gary Griffin of Jersey City, Ryan McDonald of Hamilton, New Jersey, Travis and Stacy McDonald and great niece Lyla of Houston will miss spending fun times with their Uncle Matty. Additionally, the New York Giants, Yankees, Rangers and Devils have lost one of their greatest and most dedicated fans.
