Obituary for Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Taft Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Taft, passed away peacefully on Wednesday at Crouse Hospital. She was born in Goderich, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of the late Mable Doty and Gerald Kidd. She was employed at WCA Hospital in Jamestown, NY as a physical therapy assistant. Betty was mainly a homemaker and raised her children. She also enjoyed playing BINGO, quilting, painting, and gardening.She was predeceased by her husband, Frank W. Taft in 2007, a brother and her older sister.Betty is survived by her sons, William, Robert, and James Taft; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; four sisters; several nieces and nephews.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 20, 2021, at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Pompei /St. Peter Church, 301 Ash Street in Syracuse. Betty will be laid to rest next to her husband in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
