Obituary

Mary Jean Steckman of Wesley Chapel, FL passed away peacefully with family by her side after a short illness. Jeanne was born in Hamtramack, MI to the Late Harry and Helen Radcliffe on December 5, 1945. They moved to Clinton Twp, MI when she was 8 years old. In 1963 Jeanne graduated from Clintondale High School.

Shortly after graduating she met her future husband at a local A & W restaurant. On August 15, 1964 she married Donald Steckman Jr. Jeanne worked at the IRS Taxpayer Service for many years and always loved working with numbers. She enjoyed gardening, genealogy, sewing, dogs and baking (she even received the Betty Crocker of the year award in high school!). Friendship was so very important to her and she even had friends from third grade - over 70 years of friendship! Bright colors, music and smiles were always around if Jeanne was there. You were never a stranger around her!

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Don, children: Don (Peggy), Steven, Mark (Laura) and Pam (Marc) Cesario and grandsons Dario and David Martinez, Connor and Sawyer Steckman, along with sister Betty Lynn Radcliffe, many cousins and friends.

Burial will be at the Florida National Cemetary in Bushnell, FL. Celebration of life will take place at a later date at Harvester Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Tampa Bay Humane Society or Harvester Community Church in Land O' Lakes, FL.
