Smith, Mary Young, 88 of Dade City, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013 in Zephyrhills. She was born April 25, 1924 in Kissimmee, FL to Henry Clinton & Varien Jefferson Young and moved to this area 77 years ago from Thonotosassa, FL. She was a Bookkeeper and a member of the Dade City Church of Christ. She was a Master Gardener who loved Roses and a longtime member of the Dade City Garden Club. She is survived by her daughter: Vicki Bucy (Rick), Dade City, FL; sister: June Farmer (Ray), Brooksville, FL; brother: H.C. Sonny Young Jr, San Antonio, FL; grandson: Slade McCuiston, Murray, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband: Victor Smith. Funeral services will be held 2pm Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the 5th Street Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. She was be interred at Dade City Cemetery next to her husband.
