Mary Hoyle Murphy, 81, passed into the arms of Jesus on December 20, 2024. Mary was born September 7, 1943, in Irondale, Alabama to Clifton and Bessie Hoyle.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Alice Stewart (husband Alvin); daughter-in-law Polly Murphy, Grandchildren; Tiffany, Heather, Elizabeth and Joshua and three great grandsons. Also survived by her sisters, Rachel Cupp and Louise Williams. Her brothers Ernest Hoyle and Carl Hoyle (wife Debra), sisters-in-law, Dorothy Hoyle, Louise Hoyle, Edna Keith and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved children, loved to cook and loved to garden, be outdoors and be with her family.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Marlon Murphy, her son David Murphy and sisters Burdine Wheatly and Lois Smith, brothers Oscar, Lee, Roy and Jimmy Hoyle.

Services will be at Hodges Funeral Home 11-1 with graveside services following. A reception will follow at Eddie's Roller Rink in San Antonio.
